During Sakura season, the top Sakura viewing spot will attract many visitors will may cause some uncomfortable or if you want to enjoy Sakura in a peace and quiet atmosphere, here is list of top 5 hidden Sakura viewing spots in Kyoto
The first location is Philosopher's Walk. As the name of this Street, this is street you can walk and do some Zen with inner peace. Both sides of this Walking streets, there are hundreds of trees. In each day, there is some period of time when still not many people in there like early in the morning. Enjoy Sakura in the morning with some cold is great experiences. - From JR Kyoto Station, take bus number 5 with 30 minutes and take off at Nanzenji – Eikan-do Street Station (南禅寺・永観堂道)
- From JR Kyoto Station, take bus number 100 to Ginkakuji-mae
The second location is Keage Incline. You can walk on the 582 meters streets with Sakura trees both sides. Sakura streets here also has been in some Film scene.
Access: From Keage Kyoto City Subway Station with 3 minutes walking
The third location is Ninna Temple. In this Temple, there is one big size Sakura tree from Edo period called Omuro so you can enjoy this Sakura tree just in front of your eyes

Access: From JR Kyoto Station, take bus number 26, after 40 minutes take off at Omuro Ninnaji Station
The fourth location is Nakagari Path. The Sakura path just beside Kamo River. This helps made unique Sakura enjoyment with the sound of River and Sakura.
Access: get off at Kitayama Station Subway and walk 10 minutes or Kita-Oji Station and walk 10 minutes
The fifth is Ryoan-ji Temple. The Sakura trees is just outside the wall and branch fall into Stone Garden.
Access: You can get Keifuku Electric Railway and get off the Ryoanji-michi
